Dsc02428April 8, 2006, Saturday marks another milestone in the SJBA Alumni History as graduates of batch 1970-2006 convene at St. John Bosco Academy grounds for the 7th Grand Alumni Homecoming.

At least 2000 raduates will renew once again acquaitances and revive the Bosconian spirit with the theme " Makaiisa, makisaya, makijamming sa Reunion at Jazz-kihan ng mga bosconian."

No less than alumni members who are based in the US and other key cities of the world fly back to cheries the good all days, pay homage and demonstrate ties and unquestionable loyalty to the SJBA.

Dsc02259The homecoming starts with Street Dancing Parade. Bosconian ‘93 clad in white/green t-shirts and native hawaian costumes. The Ati-atihan tribal group (from Lucena City) of Batch ‘93 makes the parade so great! The graduates assemble at the old SJBA at 7:00 a.m. ready for the parade. Other batch may wear costumes of any kind for the contest. Bosconian’93 got the 3rd price for the street dancing contest.

The homecoming is a whole day affair at the new site of SJBA in Lovely Village in Wakas while the evening is set at the patio of the Minor Basilica of St. Micheal de Archangel near the old SJBA.

After the registration at 8:00, a concelebrated mass follows with Rev. Fr. Angelo D. Jaballa, Rev. Fr. Claude Calvendra, Rev. Fr. Everrett Calvendra (Batch 1993), all alumni members afficiating.

Fun Games and raffles follow after the morning program with special guests to grace the occasion. Selected elementary pupils and secondary students and even mentors will provide special numbers to entertain alumni members. Likewise, election of new set of officers is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Five member representatives of each batch are required to attend.

Dsc02499 In the evening, all roads lead to the ‘patio’ for the continuation of the event. This is highlighted with the fireworks display sponsored by Mr. & Mrs. Eduardo and Lota Antonio-Jao of Batch ‘71.

Internationally acclaimed Wall Street Band from Manila and equally famous Mr. JMC Band will fill the evening with music to savor the moments of togetherness  up to the wee hours in the morning.
